Copper-nickel threaded rods come in two primary alloys: Cu–Ni 70/30 (which contains about 65–70% copper, 29–33% nickel, along with small amounts of iron and manganese) and Cu–Ni 90/10 (comprising roughly 88–90% copper, 9–11% nickel, plus trace elements of iron and manganese). The 70/30 alloy boasts tensile strengths of up to 500 MPa and yield points around 200 MPa, while the 90/10 alloy offers tensile strengths reaching 414 MPa and yield points near 110 MPa. Both alloys show elongation rates of about 30–42%, an elastic modulus of approximately 140 GPa, and densities around 8.9 g/cm³. Their mechanical characteristics blend strength, toughness, and ductility, making them suitable for challenging environments.
